Thorne hears every whisper the wind carries. He can read anyone in Eldoria, except Raven. King Alberich sees the gift and promotes him to Zenith Vizier, answering only to the king. Thorne takes the chance to serve both the Court and the Murder of Crows, and to escape the feelings he can't understand. He comes home to secrets breaking open. Then something worse: a death, and after it, no one notices their thoughts are no longer their own.

Trapped in total darkness, soldiers try to break him. Vallen refuses, and his will cracks the void. Something ancient watches and makes a choice: this one. When death comes to take him, Vallen makes a decision that changes everything. The soldiers start making warding signs. Rumors spread. And in the dark, Vallen rebuilds: himself, a network, and a plan to dismantle his father's throne. He underestimated his father once.He won't do it again.
Book Three · Turns 6–11
Launching 2027
King Malak tests for weakness, and he finds one that runs both ways: the Wolf is his son's weakness, and his son is hers. So he builds a plan to break them both. Vallen watches the people he loves suffer as his father kills their hope. Then Malak delivers proof that all of Eldoria's hope is gone, and Vallen blames himself. Three words take away the pain of failure. They also let something else in. Now, to stop his father from breaking the world further, Vallen has to fight himself.
